Struggling to keep track, get started, or finish? You're not alone. JongStressVRIJ helps people of all ages who struggle with planning and organizing. While these issues may seem minor, they can cause significant stress in daily life. Think of: tasks that get left undone, constant procrastination, not knowing where to begin, a cluttered and chaotic mind, pressure or fear of failure, and comments about your organization at school, work, or home.
We don't offer a standard list of tips, but tailored guidance — practical, gentle and proven to help.
Quick start, no waiting time
Sometimes help can't wait. You can usually start with an initial consultation within a few days. No referral or lengthy intake process required. We'll take the time to listen to your story and explore together what you need to regain control.
What is planning and organizing?
Planning and organizing are about making choices, prioritizing, starting and finishing—at home, at school, or at work. If this struggles, it's often not due to unwillingness: it could be due to overstimulation, perfectionism, fear of failure, ADHD, or simply: never having learned structure. How your brain processes information also plays a role.
Our approach combines psychoeducation (understanding how your brain works) with concrete tools (knowing what you'll do differently tomorrow). This creates peace, clarity, and self-confidence.
Who is this course suitable for?
For anyone who recognizes one or more of these points:
- Tasks are left undone or postponed time and again
- You don't know where to start / you lose overview
- Feeling of a "full head", restlessness or tension
- Pressure, perfectionism or fear of failure
- Comments about planning/structure from school, work or home
We work with children, adolescents and adults. Also if there is (a suspicion of) ADHD, HSP or other stimulus sensitivity, you are welcome.
What is the process like?
After you register, we'll call you briefly to discuss your needs. If it feels right, we'll schedule an intake and get started. The program consists of sessions where we'll work purposefully and calmly on your structure. You'll often notice a difference quickly; for more complex issues, we'll take longer—always in consultation with you.
Our approach consists of:
- Research: What is causing your challenge?
- Psycho-education: insight into how your brain works
- Practical tools: dividing tasks, prioritising, time-boxing, energy and stimulus management
- Practicing structure: daily and weekly schedules, realistic planning, start and stop rituals
- Working on acceptance: looking gently at pitfalls so that they no longer block you
Sometimes we're just not as good at something. That doesn't make you any less valuable. We'll find a way that works for you.
On-site or online therapy
You can choose how you prefer to receive guidance. We offer Planning & Organizing at various locations, namely Zwaagdijk-Oost, Zwaagdijk-West, and Tuitjenhorn.
Prefer not to travel? Then online support via a secure video connection is an excellent alternative. During an online session, you and your therapist can see each other and collaborate personally, just like in a face-to-face appointment. This allows you to remain flexible while maintaining quality and personal attention.
